Non-Academic Misconduct

What is non-academic misconduct?

Behaviour which falls short of the high standard of behaviour expected of students, in a context outside of academic study.

Engaging in criminal activity

Applicable to students who are convicted of a criminal offence which occurred during their period of study. See FAQ section for further detail.

Aggressive or abusive behaviour

Sending text messages using abusive language; making verbal threats
Sexual misconduct Sexual violence; making unwanted sexual advances; stalking; making sexually abusive or degrading remarks
Harassing, bullying, victimising, or discriminating against any person Racial abuse; discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics
Behaving dishonestly by engaging in or facilitating fraud, deception, misrepresentation, or personation Using false information to gain entry to a programme at the University
