Rationale

  • To promote recruitment (especially for potential PG research students who are seeking an individual), enhance reputation, attract research investment and appeal to research assessors.
  • To provide a standard profile template that is published to a common visual identity ie. to poduce a website where all research active staff appear to be part of the University of Glasgow. This will increase usability for repeat visitors (eg. REF assessors) and reduce duplication of effort ie. eliminate the need for web development staff within schools to create and maintain their own staff profile systems.
