Site structure
The University launched a new website on August 1st 2010 that reflects the new structure of the university. This part of our guide is for staff:
- moving content from an old departmental or faculty website into a school or research institute website
- creating a new website, eg. for a research centre
Web publishers should be aware of migration timescales, the Principal Web Publisher for their school or research institute and the website structure and content and writing for the web guidelines below.
Website structure and content
The webteam have given each school a basic website structure within t4 (as pictured right). The following guidance describes the type of content that we expect to be migrated into this structure:
- Undergraduate degree programmes (see Courses for further informations)
- Postgraduate taught degrees (see Courses for further informations)
- Postgraduate research
- Research
- Our staff (all staff contact details)
- Staff profiles (for research active staff)
- About us
- Student life
- Information for current students and staff
Please maintain this naming convention.
