We are looking to appoint and existing member of our Technical staff to the role of Technician Commitment Co-ordinator (0.2fte) to lead the University’s day-to-day activities in achieving our ambitious action plan.

The University of Glasgow is committed to the aims of the Technician Commitment that seeks to ensure greater visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians across all disciplines.
We are looking to appoint and existing member of our Technical staff to the role of Technician Commitment Co-ordinator (0.2fte) to lead the University’s day-to-day activities in achieving our ambitious action plan.
The successful candidate will lead on local and University wide initiatives and represent the University’s Technical community at national forums for which they will receive a responsibility allowance of £1000pa.
The role will be for an initial 1-year period, which may be extended for a further year subject to review and you should seek agreement with your line managers before applying. There will be monies available to backfill your current position.
