UofG Sport Sustainability

UofG Sport Sustainability
Using the UNs’ Sustainable Development Goals as a framework, the University of Glasgow is committed to a sustainable social impact.
UofG Sport have identified five goals and targets that we feel can help us measure our progress and make a difference.

No Poverty
UofG Sport is committed in doing our part to reduce poverty by providing opportunities to local young people through sport, promoting student led initiatives and bringing our community together to collect and donate to local foodbanks.

Promoting Good Health and Wellbeing
Good Health and Wellbeing plays a vital role at UofG Sport. We've recently undertaken a number of projects with the aim of improving our staff, colleagues and community's mental health.

Clean Water & Sanitation
UofG Sport aim to educate our community about the benefits of staying hydrated, research and implement methods to increase our water-use efficiency and continue to provide safe and free water, access to sanitation and hygiene.

Reducing Inequalities
UofG Sport is open to all and we're committed to improving our service and facilities to ensure every body feels welcome, while promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.

Life on Land
UofG Sport is the home of Garscube Sports Complex, a fantastic sports facility with plenty of green space, full of ecosystems and biodiversity. We aim to highlight the brilliant work that takes place to promote conservation and biodiversity.

Sustainability at The University of Glasgow
In a world which is increasingly uncertain and dominated by major shocks, our students, colleagues and other members of our UofG community care about how our University can be a force for good and enact sustainable social impact.
