Direct Debit & Staff Payroll Memberships only
As noted in the UofG Sport Membership Agreement, we require at least one month's notice of cancellation.
If you wish to cancel your UofG Sport Membership, please complete a Membership Cancellation Request Form.
Alternatively, you can freeze your membership for up to four months by completing a Membership Freeze Request Form.

Direct Debit Memberships
Direct Debit payments are made on the 15th of the month and cover the membership period until the 15th of the following month.
Please plan your notice period accordingly. Keep in mind the following:
- If you submit your cancellation request before the 15th of the month, the 15th of that month will be your final payment date, and your membership will end on the 15th of the following month
- If you submit your cancellation request after the 15th of the month, the 15th of the following month will be your final payment date, and your membership will end one month after your final payment
For example:
- If you submit a cancellation request on 12th June, your final payment will be 15th June and your membership will end on 15th July
- If you submit a cancellation request on 17th June, your final payment will be 15th July and your membership will end on 15th August
Staff Payroll Mandate Memberships
Payroll Mandate payments are deducted from your salary at the end of each month and cover that month's membership.
Payroll Mandate cancellation requests must be received before the end the month in which you wish to make your final payment. For example:
- If you submit your cancellation request on 28th June, your final payment will be c. 30th June and your membership will end in July *
- If you submit your cancellation request on 2nd July, your final payment will be c. 31st July and your membership will end in August *
* Payroll Mandate memberships expire at whatever point in the month your originally joined e.g. if you joined on the 7th of any given month, your membership will end on the 7th of the month following your final payment.
Prepaid Memberships
You are free to cancel at any time, however prepaid memberships are normally non-refundable. You may be entitled to a part-refund if you provide a letter from your GP specifying the medical grounds on which a refund is sought. Whether refunds are made in part (and to what amount) is at the discretion of UofG Sport.
