Working Safely (IOSH accredited)
This one day course is accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH). It is aimed at staff who work in an office, workshop or laboratory based environment, typically in a non-supervisory role. The course is UK established and recognised by industrial and commercial employment sectors.
The course focuses on the principles of safe working and includes a formal assessment element. On successful completion the delegate will receive a nationally recognised safety certificate along with the added value of greater safety awareness and knowledge obtained from attendance.
Please note that this course is only available to University of Glasgow staff and a charge of £55 per delegate will be applicable to this course.
Booking a training place
This course will be held in the Conference Room of the Isabella Elder Building which is located on the first floor. PLEASE NOTE if you are unable to access the first floor of a building with no lift please advise safety@glasgow.ac.uk as soon as possible. This course will be run on the dates shown below, please note course times must be completed in full.
To check availability and book a place on this course please do so via CoreHR – in the employee dashboard select the learning and development box then enter keyword i.e. IOSH then press search. This will take you to “Book a course”, please select IOSH Working Safely then click “3 dot” menu to the right, select “Request to attend a course”, this will then give you a list of course dates and availability, select the course dates which suit you then complete “Your Request Details” and press submit. To put your name on the waiting list for the next course you should email safety@glasgow.ac.uk.
