Biological and Genetic Modification safety training
The Biological and Genetic Modification Safety course is designed to provide training for staff and research students on the legal requirements for work with biological agents and genetically modified organisms, the risks relating to biological agents and genetically modified organisms at work, risk assessment and control for biological agents and genetically modified organisms. The course lasts 3.5 hours. Bespoke training can also be arranged for units by prior arrangement with the Biological Safety Adviser.
Booking a Training Place
This course will be held in the Conference Room of the Isabella Elder Building which is located on the first floor. PLEASE NOTE if you are unable to access the first floor of a building with no lift please advise safety@glasgow.ac.uk as soon as possible. This course will be run on the dates shown below. To check availability and book onto one of these courses please do so via CoreHR – in the employee dashboard select the learning and development box then enter keyword i.e. biological then press search. This will take you to “Book a course”, please select Biological and GM Safety then click “3 dot” menu to the right, select “Request to attend a course”, this will then give you a list of course dates and availability, select the course dates which suit you then complete “Your Request Details” and press submit.
