Food & drink packaging
It is possible to recycle some types of plastic, including plastic milk, soft drink bottles and yogurt pots, through the University mixed recycling stream. Suitable items can be placed in mixed recycling bins from which they are transferred to the external recycling bins that are sited at key locations on campus.

Laboratory plastics
Plastics that arise from work in laboratories must not be placed into the recycling stream. The correct disposal of these plastics will be dictated by the chemical, biological or radiological hazard that they present and information on disposal of waste containing various hazards is presented elsewhere on SEPS web site.
