Solvent based paint should be disposed by the same mechanism as is used for disposal of waste chemicals, through the University approved supplier. Further information on this is available in the waste chemicals section of SEPS web site.
Small quantities of water based paints can be disposed in the general waste stream, however care must be taken to ensure that the paint does not spill and cause contamination, pollution or disfigurement of the location.
