I support researchers from across the University in the planning, execution, and evaluation of knowledge exchange and impact-related activities and projects following from their research outputs, as well as provide researchers with guidance through the funding application processes of the Glasgow Knowledge Exchange Fund (GKEF) and the Institutional Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAA). I joined the Research and Impact Engagement team in May 2024 as Research Impact Adviser. I am part of the IAA Working Group responsible for Driving Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Background
I hold a BA in Literature and Spanish Linguistics from the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (Autonomous University of Zacatecas) in Mexico (2011) and an MA in General and Comparative Literary Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin (2017). In 2024 I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a PhD in Comparative Literature. My research has focused primarily on analysing Tolkien's literary production through the lenses of continental philosophy and critical theory engaging with the concepts of Otherness and the Other, as well as Germanophonic fantastic literature between the 19th and 20th centuries. I became interested in knowledge exchange and impact through my work in public engagement, Tolkien Studies, Fantasy and Fantastic literature.
