Biography
Previous Experience
I joined the University of Glasgow at the beginning of 2016. I have a variety of experience in academic institutions having previously worked for two years as a Research Assistant in the School of Health Sciences—specifically the Cancer Care Unit—at the University of Surrey. Prior to this I worked for two years as a Research Administrator within the School of Nursing at the University of Dundee.
I have an MA (Hons.) degree in Psychology from the University of Dundee.
My Role at Glasgow
I now work as part of the Research Strategy and Policy Team supporting the development, production and implementation of the University's strategies and policies relating to Research. My main role is integrity and in particular working with the University's Integrity Council to ensure compliance and procedure are aligned with national guidelines and policies. I also work closely with Samantha Oakley (Researcher Development and Integrity Specialist) regarding integrity training materials and interactions with our integrity advisors and champions.
I manage the administration for Centres within the University as well as all institutionally capped funding calls. I work with Kay Guccione (Research Development Manager) and the researcher development team with regards to events and in particular the Glasgow Crucible and developing research culture at the University of Glasgow.
My role also involves working closely with Mary Beth Kneafsey (PGR strategy manager) and clerking for the Deans of Graduate Studies meetings (DOGS).
