Get recognition for your work as a Supervisor or PI
The work you do as a leader of other researchers is an important way that you are able to be a driver of positive culture change within the research environment. The University Research Strategy values this contribution. Here are some formal and informal ways that you can get recognition for your leadership:
People Make Research Initiative
People Make Research is an annual celebration of the practical ways that our colleagues provide good leadership and cultivate an environment that upholds the standards of fair and inclusive research practice. This initiative is a way recognise the fullest extent of good practice and say a heartfelt thank you to each person for their important contribution. We also celebrate outstanding thesis and catalyst mentors.
UKCGE Recognised Supervisor
Grounded in the Good Supervisory Practice Framework (GSPF), the UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE) Recognised Supervisor and Recognised Associate Supervisor status is an internationally recognised acknowledgement of the reflective good praxis of doctoral supervisors.
