How much does it cost? Do I need to have costed this service in my research proposal, to be able to make use of the service post award?
Yes, our team is financed via project funding. This means that at application stage, our costs will be included in the project’s application costing, as with other personnel costs. The cost will vary depending on the type of the project, duration and level of support you require. We work closely with the Pre-Award team who can assist with costing project management support into your proposal.
If you have general admin support costed into your proposal and once the project is awarded you wish to engage the services of the Project Management Office, this is also possible. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss this option.
Do UoG have to Coordinate the project in order for me to receive support?
No, the PMO can provide services to academics who are Partners in collaborative EU funded projects, and who have been provided with a limited funding for project/financial management.
How does this service differ from the support I have received in the past from the Post-Award finance team/College RSO?
We dedicate resource to each project to ensure that it is fully supported. We are your first point of contact for project related queries. We provide expertise in the funding regulations of each project and bespoke financial reports to allow you to effectively manage your budget.
I’m a project administrator /project manager at the University and would like some support/guidance. Are there any networking opportunities?
We are very keen to engage with our colleagues at UoG and with project managers outwith the University to share ideas and best practise. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
