I am an experienced PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager and lead the Project Management Office. As well as managing my own projects, I maintain oversight of the PMO portfolio and lead on change management and process improvements. I have experience project managing FP7 and H2020 collaborative projects including Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA), Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), and Future and Emerging Technologies Actions (FET). One of my favourite things about being an EU Project Manager is having the opportunity to work on such a diverse portfolio of projects. From developing 'greener' ways of controlling pest insect populations to investigating new therapies for treating prostate cancer, our projects bring together leaders in the field to research and innovate, and their developments and discoveries have a tangible impact on society. Building connections with researchers across Europe and assisting them with project implementation is both extremely interesting and rewarding.

I am a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager who has worked in a number of research projects with a special focus on Innovative Training Networks and experience in British Council grants, Cost Actions and Coordination and Support Actions as an EU policy advisor. I benefit from collaborative work with my colleagues that ensures my input in the projects is meaningful, effective and proactive. As a PM I pride myself on providing top customer service to the Investigators that I work with, establishing a relationship of trust and reliance where they feel comfortable to leave the administrative duties in my hands to focus on the science. My goal is the completion of the project’s goals and objectives, I love a challenge and face every problem as an opportunity.
Jay Pert - EU Project Officer

Jay Pert is a Prince2 certified Project Manager with experience working on large-scale digital transformation projects within the private sector and recently joined the University of Glasgow PMO Office in July 2022-- working on H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (ETN) and EIT Digital and supporting other higher education projects through the University of Glasgow PMO Office. I enjoy the diverse range of projects the University of Glasgow PMO Office offers and working in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders from various backgrounds, where no two days are the same in the role.
