Action Planning
A one–off team building event will raise team members’ awareness of the team and their part in it. To ensure there is lasting impact it is important that an action plan is developed which captures the key learning from the event and any actions or steps which are to be taken to ensure team building continues in the workplace.
How the facilitator captures the actions from a team building event are many and varied. The important point is not the document that is used to record the information but that:
- actions are recorded
- actions are followed up
- actions are distributed amongst team members
- there is on-going communication with the team about progress with the action plan.
