Early Career Development Programme
Welcome to the Early Career Development Programme (ECDP) Portal.
ECDP is the University of Glasgow’s commitment to developing its early career academics. It aims to develop high achieving, high performing academics who will help the University to deliver its vision and ambitions as articulated in our strategic plan, Inspiring People, Changing the World.
The Programme provides the mechanism by which newly appointed early career academic employees at Grade 7 and 8 are supported in developing their academic skills and in progressing their careers and it aims to:
- develop high achieving, high performing academics who will support the University to deliver its vision and ambitions as articulated in the current strategic plan, Inspiring People, Changing The World.
- provide learning and development opportunities in all aspects of the academic role, including allocation of a mentor to provide support and advice, the creation of a Personal Development Plan and the setting of annual objectives to enable academics to develop the abilities to meet the criteria for promotion to Grade 9 within a defined timescale.
These webpages provide information about ECDP, a flexible development programme that can be tailored to your needs and that delivers ongoing support to help you realise your potential and achieve your career ambitions aligned to the strategic goals of the University.
You can read further details on this portal, in the ECDP Policy and in the ECDP Brochure.
