Extreme weather - take care

Due to high winds caused by Storm Ali, staff and students are advised to take extreme care.
An amber weather (wind and rain) warning is in place from 08.00 to 17.00 today, Wednesday, 19 September, across the Central Belt.
Due to high winds caused by Storm Ali, staff and students are advised to take extreme care on campus. They should note that some public transport routes have been severely affected, including trains from Central Station and Queen Street station, and should check travel advice.
Any member of staff who wishes to leave early because of concerns over travel or because of caring responsibilities should discuss this with their line manager.
Weather conditions are expected to improve by late afternoon.
As always, we would ask employees and students to keep themselves informed of the developing situation by accessing weather, travel, police and news reports, so that they can make safe and informed travel decisions tomorrow, as necessary. Staff are asked to contact their line manager in the usual way, as soon as possible in the morning, if they are having difficulties getting to work.
