On behalf of GUEST (Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team)
You’ve probably shared numerous stories and opinions on your accommodation with your friends since you moved in to your flat in September. Of course, back then you were still naive, unaware of what freshers week and uni had in store for you…but you’ve grown since: After those first-failed pasta meals, countless flat parties, numerous essay all-nighters, you’re ready for the next big adventure.
But hold on - before you start settling into your new west-end tenement flat! Share your experiences about this year in halls with us – a group of passionate students working on sustainability and wellbeing-related topics at UofG!
We’re keen to hear your stories so that we can make sure the university accommodation experience is amazing for everyone. The stories and suggestions you share with us (might be therapeutic) but more importantly they will have a direct influence on the new accommodation strategy the University is cooking up. And this strategy will ensure you the next week freshers will have the time of their lives while living at halls.
So what’re you waiting for? The share-sessions will take place over the next 2 weeks, are about 1 ½ hours long (depending how much all of you want to say), and will take place at your local meeting/common room. Come down for a laugh, discussion, brainstorm, and some fun ‘draw your ideal flat’ activities. Of course they’ll be plenty of tea, coffee and snacks, not only for those who’ve already ran out of their monthly SAAS ;)
We’ve booked a space you’ll all know very well and feel comfortable in at a times where night owls ( as well as morning birds) will already (or still) be awake:
