We’re delighted to announce that the 12th Annual University of Glasgow Learning and Teaching Conference will take place on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 April 2019, writes Dr Matthew Williamson, Director, Learning Enhancement and Academic Development Service (LEADS).

Reflecting several years’ worth of institutional investment, this year’s theme will be "Blended and Active Learning: Where Are We Now, and Where Do We Want to Be?"

Following positive feedback, the conference will again be held over two days. We very much hope that you’ll be able to attend on both days, although it will be possible to sign up for either of the days singly. Sub-themes will be announced with the call for abstracts in late September.

The programme will comprise a mixture of 30-minute presentations (20 mins talk + 10 mins questions), 60-minute interactive workshops, and - something which has been very well reflected in feedback at the last two conferences - lightning talks. These are opportunities for colleagues to share brief details of innovations and developments in teaching practice which could be of interest to others across the University community.

The call for abstracts will open in mid-September. As with previous Conferences, successful abstracts will be published in the Proceedings booklet and online formats.

We look forward to welcoming you to our 12th annual conference, either as a presenter or as a delegate, so please save the date in your diaries.
