Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson and former UK Ambassador Sir Ivan Rogers are to deliver Policy Scotland lectures.
The University is delighted to be hosting a major speech by the Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party, Ruth Davidson MSP, as the University reaffirms its position as the leading venue in Scotland for high-profile voices to contribute to public debate. Ruth Davidson will outline her thoughts on "Building a stronger future for Britain".
As part of the ongoing Policy Scotland lecture series – which has heard from senior figures including Scottish Government Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland’s Place in Europe Michael Russell, Labour MEP David Martin and the author of Article 50, Lord Kerr – Ms Davidson will set out her vision for Britain in the Bute Hall on May 29.
Tickets are free and available at: Ruth Davidson Public Lecture
The Policy Scotland lecture series will also welcome back former UK Ambassador to the EU Sir Ivan Rogers on 23 May in the Sir Charles Wilson Building.
Sir Ivan’s previous lecture in the series was a hugely successful event, and with his unrivalled insight into the internal machinations of the European Union and Britain’s relationship with Europe, we are sure this event will be equally popular.
Tickets for this event are available at: Sir Ivan Rodgers Public Lecture
