Two of the University’s students have been selected to take part in Future News Worldwide 2018 – a partnership between the British Council and some of the world’s leading media organisations, including Reuters, CNN, Facebook and Google News Lab.

Jonathan Peters, a Media, Communications and International Journalism student, and Ashleigh Hanna, who is studying English Literature, will take part in a conference at the Scottish Parliament on July 5 and 6 for 100 young aspiring global journalists.

They will receive coaching from some of the world’s most high-profile editors, broadcasters, writers and reporters.

The programme is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of any degree aged 18-25 who are interested in journalism.
