Aileen Livingstone, Director of Hospitality Services, has announced that she will retire at the end of March.
It is thanks to all the work of Aileen and her team that millions of students, staff and visitors have, over the last 18 years, always been able to get a coffee, soup or a sandwich, writes Ann Allen, Executive Director of Estates and Commercial Services.
It is also thanks to her team that the many functions held on the campus have run seamlessly and with the quality of food and service for our guests and visitors which make these occasions memorable. Many of you may know Aileen as 'Aileen McInnes', however following her marriage last year she decided to make another life change and enjoy time in retirement.
Providing for our students has always been at the heart of the University's catering and hospitality services which, under Aileen's leadership, have developed and adapted to new requirements and opportunities over the last 18 years. I know you will all join me in thanking Aileen for her service and commitment, whilst wishing her well for the future.
