Throughout National Volunteer  Week (1 – 7 June), the UofG Alumni team celebrated all our graduates who volunteered for UofG.

Social media buzz

Each day, posts were shared on social media to highlight the ways in which alumni give back to the University and to thank them for their time and efforts.

Alumni volunteers give their time in many different ways including coming back to campus as careers speakers, giving guest lectures, mentoring students on the Network, fundraising and providing internships.

Alumni volunteer tweets

Sarah Armour, Alumni Volunteers Manager said: “I’m inspired by the alumni I work with every day. Not only do our graduates go on to do amazing things with their lives but also they are so generous with the time and expertise they give back. Alumni volunteer week has been a fantastic opportunity to thank them for all they do.”

Summer Drinks

To thank the alumni volunteers as part of a series of events, the alumni team held a get together at Private Members Club 29. This was a chance for the volunteers and UofG staff to mingle over drinks and canapés.
