Following the temporary suspension of the USyd-UofG Partnership Collaboration Award (PCA) due to the impact of COVID-19, the University of Sydney and University of Glasgow are now delighted to announce the relaunching of the fund, which opened for applications on Wednesday 4 May 2022.

The call will remain open until midnight AEST/3pm BST on Sunday 12 June 2022. Successful recipients will then have from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023 to carry out their approved projects.

This fund was established in 2018 to facilitate and support joint initiatives to strengthen the strategic priorities of Sydney and Glasgow, as well as to develop multi-disciplinary cutting-edge research with which to create academic and societal impact.

In this round, up to ten proposals will be funded (each with two Chief Investigators; one from USyd and one from UofG). We anticipate that the average award for a successful proposal will be AUD 10,000 (£5,700 approx) from each institution for a total award of AUD 20,000 (£11,400 approx). In exceptional cases, a higher amount may be awarded, the value of which will not exceed a total award of AUD 40,000 (£22,800 approx) that is AUD 20,000 AUD (£11,400 approx) per institution.

Applicants are invited from all Colleges to submit funding proposals for innovative and sustainable programs built around collaborative research linking Sydney and Glasgow. Proposals for learning and teaching initiatives may also be considered if included as part of a larger collaborative research proposal.

Full details of the call, the eligibility criteria and application process can be found on the Partnership Collaboration Award webpage or for any questions contact externalrelations-partnershipfunding@glasgow.ac.uk
