Information about Winter 2021 graduations
Published: 17 September 2021
Graduation ceremonies will take place on-campus this Winter
Graduation ceremonies will take place on-campus between Monday 29 November and Friday 10 December. Ceremonies will start at 10:00 and 16:00 each weekday.
You will note that the ceremonies are scheduled over a ten-day period, which is longer than usual, and that there will also be fewer graduands at each ceremony. This is to enable the occupancy levels of the Bute Hall and other graduation venues to be reduced to within safe limits. As a further safety measure the number of guests in the Bute Hall will be limited to one per graduand. As usual, the graduations will be broadcast live on the web and to other venues on campus where additional guests may watch.
The graduation timetable gives the specific dates and time of ceremonies at a College, School and programme level.
As usual, students must enrol for their graduation on MyCampus, with enrolment open between 15 and 29 September. An email with enrolment instructions will be sent to students in the graduating cohort. Further information for students on graduation can be found at https://www.gla.ac.uk/events/graduations/.
Please note those cohorts of students who began their programmes of study in November 2020 and January 2021 are not scheduled to graduate this Winter and should not enrol. These cohorts are expected to graduate in Spring 2022, but ceremony dates are still to be decided. Celebration events for those graduates from 2020 and Summer 2021 are also currently being planned. Details of both these events will be announced as soon as they are available.
Please note graduation arrangements may be subject to change if unforeseen circumstances, including latest guidance from the Scottish Government on COVID-19, require the University to make changes.
Best wishes,
