Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree funding success

Glasgow was the only UK university to be awarded EMJMD funding as a co-ordinator
The College of Social Sciences continues to win ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint Master Degree Funding with the success of two renewal bids being announced by the EACEA on 12 July for IMSISS and GLOCAL https://www.gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/erasmusmundus/.
Each programme has won a further 4.37 million EUROS for 70+ full scholarships spread over four Intakes, each enabling three mobility periods around Europe, starting in Sept 2020. At present CoSS coordinates seven EMJMDs https://www.gla.ac.uk/postgraduate/erasmusmundus/ and will award 146 full Scholarships across the seven EMJMDs.
This year Glasgow was the only UK HEI to be awarded EMJMD funding as a co-ordinator. Only 10 other UK HEIs were part of EMJMD consortiums as degree-awarding partners, presumably as BREXIT threatens this type of funding. In Glasgow’s case we have identified alternative EU co-ordinator partners should this become a requirement and we lose our programme Country status in a ‘no deal’ exit from the EU.
