Invitation to staff to help shape the Professional Services Review
The University’s World-Changing Glasgow Transformation team are currently focusing on six projects: Assessment & Feedback; Student Forecasting and Enrolment; HR Recruitment Process: Professional Services; Smart Campus; and Student & Staff Service Delivery.
Regular updates on the overall project aims and timelines will be carried in MyGlasgow News along with information on each individual project.
Although this project is at an early stage, we want to give you an overview of the benefits we hope to provide through this project.
The Professional Services Project is focussed on eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy. The aim is to create space and resource to:
- Deliver high-quality professional services aligned to the University that are easy to use and access
- More time for academics to devote to student learning, research and innovation
- A better student experience
- Clearer ownership of all processes and performance metrics, end-to-end
- Removal of unnecessary bureaucracy that doesn’t add value
- Reduction in duplication in activity between Professional Services staff, college and Schools/Research Institutes
- Better use of technology enabled solutions
- Clearer and more visible career pathways
We would like our staff to help shape this project, and give us input. Do you want to get involved? Join our dedicated Yammer group and watch this introductory video from WCGT Director Emma Pickard to find out more.
