Flu jag for staff
Published: 5 September 2016
A chance for all University employees to get their flu jag free this winter.
The Health, Safty and Wellbeing team is delighted to announce that the University is once again offering the flu vaccination free of charge to those employees who would otherwise have to pay to receive it.
A flu vaccination may help protect you from a nasty seasonal illness and possible complications.
If you are already offered the vaccination through your GP on account of an existing health condition, you should continue to attend your GP for the injection, to ensure the continuing monitoring of your health.
How to book
To book your appointment, call the Barclay Medical Practice on 0141 342 3600 between 5pm and 6pm Monday to Friday. Vaccination clinics will be run at the Barclay on a number of evenings in November, from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
Like all of us, the Barclay staff are very busy taking care of the new student intake, so please stick to the 5pm to 6pm time slot to call.
We recommend booking your appointment early in the month, as supplies of the vaccine may become harder to obtain as the autumn immunisation programme progresses.
