Come and join us for a fun walk in the park and along the canal! Last year, we had over 60 people come to show their support for local animal charities.

SAVMA (Student American Veterinary Medical Association) is a club at the University of Glasgow's School of Veterinary Medicine. We host various events throughout the year for students and the public.

On Saturday 15 October 2016, we will be having our second annual Furry 5K animal walk. The walk will start at the vet school campus and end at Lock 27 pub in Anniesland. All of the proceeds from the walk will be going to Cats Protection and Canine Partners.

Cats Protection has been helping cats since 1927 and have branches all around the UK. Canine Partners assists disabled people to enjoy great independence and a better quality of life through the help of specially trained dogs.

Your furry leashed companions are welcome!

Registration starts at 10am and the first 50 people will get a free shirt!

Cost: £5 for SAVMA Members; £10 for Non-Members/Public; If you pledge £25 or more, registration fee is waived. We encourage everyone to collect pledges (pledge form is on the Facebook event). Looking forward to a great event!
