Norway role for Prof. Kay Livingston

Read why the School of Education's Professor Kay Livingston has taken on a role in Norway.
Kay Livingston, Professor of Educational Research Policy and Practice at the School of Education, has been appointed to the international evaluation committee of the Research Council of Norway.
The committee’s remit is “to identify and analyse key trends in Norwegian education research, to uncover strengths and weaknesses with regard to scientific quality and capacity, strategic focus and collaboration, relevance and societal impact, and to recommend measures to strengthen these areas in the future”.
The committee will be chaired by Vice-Chancellor Mikael Alexandersson of Halmstad University in Sweden; other committee members are from Belfast, Helsinki in Finland, Ljubljana in Slovenia, Utrecht in the Netherlands, and Norway.
Professor Livingston was invited to take part in the evaluation because of her specialist knowledge of curriculum assessment, pedagogy and teacher education.
