A series of free events for staff on Gaelic at the University and Gaelic-medium education in Glasgow.

Pronunciation Sessions
Have you ever wondered how to pronounce the Gaelic on the bilingual signs that are appearing around the campus?
If so, why not come along to this informal training session where you will not only learn how to pronounce these signs but can also pick up a few basic phrases in Gaelic for use in email and conversation.
No prior knowledge of Gaelic is required to attend the sessions. Free tea and coffee will be provided, and you are welcome to bring lunch along with you if you wish

Do you have children registered in Gaelic-medium education in Glasgow or the surrounding areas? Or are you a parent who would be interested in finding out more about Gaelic education as an opportunity for your family in the future? This unique session aims to provide staff members with information on the opportunities that exist in Glasgow for children and parents to access Gaelic-medium education. A wide-range of representatives from both local and national organisations will be in attendance to provide information on education services, events for families and learning opportunities for parents. The event will open with a short presentation from Glasgow City Council followed by an opportunity to meet with and chat to representatives from other organisations. Tea and coffee will be provided and staff are welcome to bring along a sandwich for lunch.
