The MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit (SPHSU) has a new weight loss study about to kick off on in early April.

The ‘helpmedoit’ study aims to support people in their weight loss goals by using a new app and info website. The app will allow people to set goals for health eating, physical activity and wellbeing, as well as monitor their progress and sign up ‘helpers’ from their social circle to help support and encourage them. The info website will provide up-to-date information on how best to set goals and make healthy lifestyle changes.
To take part you need:
• A BMI of 30 or more (if you’re unsure try this online calculator available on the BUPA website
• Either an iPhone or Android phone (n.b. the app doesn’t work with Windows or Blackberry).
• Access to the internet
• Live or work in the Glasgow area.
• Interested in losing weight.
