The Marketing, Recruitment and International Office recently hosted the annual Agent Symposium, writes Craig Thomson-Gold, International Recruitment Coordinator (South Asia and South-East Asia) Marketing, Recruitment & International Office.

This year's symposium was attended by thirty of the University's overseas representatives from twenty three countries. The delegates came to the University for a three-day familiarisation trip, where they attended sessions with each of the University's colleges, met with our University Services and worked with the MaRIO staff to feed into the University's International Recruitment strategy.

The symposium was rounded off by an afternoon's trip around the city of Glasgow, including a tour of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and Auchentoshan Distillery, showing the delegates some of the city en route. The event was an excellent opportunity for the staff of the University to meet with some of our overseas representatives, show them the excellent facilities our beautiful campus has to offer, and to demonstrate to them that the University of Glasgow is a top destination for international students.

Thank you to all our colleagues across campus who worked with us to make this such an excellent event.
