Help us welcome new students to the University of Glasgow this September and become an “Ask Me” Ambassador!
University Services are piloting an “Ask Me” campaign this September and are looking for members of staff from across the University to volunteer. We are striving to help improve the introduction of new students to the University of Glasgow community and to enhance their experience.
It is important for our students to feel welcome and supported when they arrive. That’s where you can make an invaluable contribution with your wealth of experience, friendly face and information on hand.
For this year the pilot will focus on Main Campus only.
How you will help:
The campaign will involve you wearing an “Ask Me” badge for the duration of September, while you go about your usual business. These badges will act as prompts, indicating that students can approach you and ask for help.
To aid you in this task, we will provide you with useful information and answers to the most common student questions.
Who can get involved:
- This is open to all University of Glasgow staff
- We’re looking for approximately 100 volunteers for the pilot
What’s in it for you:
By wearing the badge, you will have an opportunity to experience the vibrant Campus, buzzing with a variety of events at the start of Session, connect with students and gain even more insight and perspective into the student life.
