Great War Fallen Commemoration dates 2016
Summer: 29th May -9th September 2016
The University is commemorating the lives of each member of our community lost in the Great War. This is being led by the Chaplaincy. War dead will be remembered at 09.00 in the Memorial Chapel as close to the centenary anniversary as possible (weekends and University holidays permitting), followed by the planting of a poppy cross in the First World War Memorial Garden. The dates of death are as reported to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission or information supplied to the University by the families.
Biographies are being posted on the University's Roll of Honour website.
The accompanying PDF document carries more information on the dates and the names of those from the University of Glasgow community who fell during the dreadful summer of 1915.
