Staff are warmly invited to attend a GRAB lunch event focusing on the University's strategic engagement in Malaysia.
Date: Monday 27 June 2016
Time: 12.30 - 13.30pm
Venue: The James Bridie Memorial Library, Glasgow University Union
The lunch will be hosted by Professor Frank Coton, Vice Principal (Academic & Educational Innovation) and International Dean for South-East Asia. The overall aim of the session is to raise awareness amongst staff about current levels of engagement with key partners in Malaysia, and to hear specific examples of academic collaboration.
Who can/should attend?
Any member of staff with an interest in Malaysia, be it professional or cultural. The lunches will be of particular interest to staff with an interest in partnership development, scoping potential research possibilities, or with a general interest in discovering what the University is doing in Malaysia.
The GRAB lunch (food will be provided) will include:
- An overview of the University's strategic priorities in Malaysia.
- An update on recruitment activity.
- A chance to network and meet with other staff, including Professor Frank Coton, the International Dean for South-East Asia, as well as Dr Chris Yeomans, Head of International Affairs (MaRIO).
- Opportunities to ask questions, discuss new collaborations, evolving partnerships, and any ideas that you may have for developing the University's presence there.

Something extra
The event will also include a pop-up display of items from the University of Glasgow's heritage collections, which give an insight into the University's historical engagement with Malaysia.
