The Confucius Institute held a Chinese New Year celebration on 12 February to welcome in the Year of the Monkey.
More than 300 people attended the event which featured traditional Chinese singing and dancing, a calligraphy demonstration, a dragon dance, magic and more!
There were addresses from Director of the Confucius Institute Professor Ian Gow, Vice Principal Internationalisation Professor Jim Conroy, Vice-Principal and Head of College of Social Sciences Professor Anne Anderson, Consul General Mr Pan Xinchun, a video message from the Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and a video message from Vice President of Nankai University Guan Naijia.
