The Stevenson Trust for Citizenship presents a lecture by Dr Robert Johns (Reader in Politics, University of Essex) on ‘Referendums are like buses…: Scotland 2014, EU 2016 and beyond’
About
The upcoming Holyrood election will take place in the long shadow of one referendum, with another just around the corner – and possibly a third if the Scots are outvoted in a 'Brexit' vote.
Dr Johns - author of several books on Scottish politics and STV's election-night psephologist - will assess the reshaping of electoral politics following 2014, the state of Scottish opinion ahead of the EU referendum and where all this will leave Scotland following 5 May.
Tuesday 5 April at 6 p.m.
Sir Charles Wilson Lecture Theatre (Corner of Gibson Street and University Avenue)
All staff, students, and members of the public are welcome. No advance booking is necessary.
