Learning Technology Award for John Kerr

John Kerr, Learning Innovation Officer for the College of Social Sciences, has been awarded Runner-up for Learning Technologist of the year 2015.
John Kerr, Learning Innovation Officer for the College of Social Sciences, has been awarded Runner-up for Learning Technologist of the year 2015, at ALT’s (Association of Learning Technology) conference in Manchester.
The ALT award is fiercely contested with applications open for individuals from HE, FE and professional sectors all competing. The award recognises the contribution the individual has made to the field of learning technology, at both institutional and sector-wide level.
John’s success had many facets with judges noting particular strength for organisation change management and engagement in open education.
John said “I am extremely happy to come runner-up for this award; it highlights the fantastic work the College is undertaking in this field and how engaged colleagues are with learning technology. Over the coming months and years I will continue to work with College staff to build on this success."
