Bright Club Comedy - Free Workshop: Wednesday 14 October, Gilchrist Postgraduate Club, 17:30-18:30
Bright Club is a unique form of public engagement in which researchers share their work with the public through the medium of stand-up comedy.
From regular shows at The Stand Comedy club to the Edinburgh Fringe, Bright Club provides ample opportunity for academics to develop their communication skills – and have a lot of fun! All performers receive full training prior to their show.
Interested? We’re running a free one-hour training workshop this Wednesday 14 October from 5.30-6.30pm in the Seminar Room of the Gilchrist Postgraduate Club.
This will provide an introduction on how to extract the “funny” from your research, with the opportunity to sign up and form at our next show (which is on Wednesday 28 October at The Stand Comedy Club).
Researchers from all career stages (postgraduate student to professor) are welcome.
We hope to see you then! For more information contact Dr Zara Gladman or visit Facebook.com/BrightClubGlasgow Twitter: @BrightClubGLA
