After months of University-wide consultations and workshops, the deadline is drawing near for your chance to comment and feedback on the emerging University of Glasgow strategy for the next five years.   The consultation period will end on Tuesday 19 May.  Both Senate and Court will consider the emerging strategy document in June.

The current draft, with the working title Inspiring People - Changing the world, analyses the context in which we are operating, redefines the University’s vision and mission statements and puts people first and at the heart of all we do.  The new strategy will address:

  • our working culture
  • the student experience
  • internationalisation
  • learning and teaching
  • research
  • the redevelopment of our campuses
  • our systems and infrastructure
  • how we engage with our home city and the wider world

The formation of the new strategy is being led by Senior Vice-Principal, Professor Neal Juster.  He said: “Throughout this process we have worked very hard to engage with the entire University community.  The input we have received from staff over the past year has been essential in shaping the developing draft.

Our ambition from the start has been to create a strategy that reflects the vital role that all staff have to play in the University’s success – and so I would ask all colleagues, no matter your job or position, to look at the draft, think about the sort of University you want to work for, and provide us with your views.”
