Staff Development Services, the team within Human Resources responsible for nearly all of the University's training courses, is changing its name to Employee and Organisational Development.

Eddie O'Grady, the Head of the Service, told Campus e-News: "The rationale for the change is to reflect the dual nature of the service’s work – supporting and delivering strategic change within the organisation - the Organisational Development piece.

We also have a duty to ensure that we have colleagues working at the university who have the skills and knowledge to fulfil their roles effectively, now and in the future; that's the Employee Development bit.

"Our previous service name did not really capture this duality in function."
