Request to update your personal details
Published: 27 July 2015
Are your personal details up-to-date on Core? A message from HR Director Christine Barr.
Dear Colleague
The University is required to submit an annual staff return to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) to report information to provide an annual statistical profile of the staff employed within the University. We are committed to having a diverse workforce which is of major benefit to staff and students. In addition, we require personal details in case of emergencies at work.
Can I ask you to access your personal details on Core and review and update the following:
- Your diversity data – including ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and religion and belief;
- Your qualifications;
- Your address – both home and work address;
- Next of kin details and emergency contact.
A step by step guide on how to access the HR system and how to navigate to all staff information is available.
All information you provide will be treated in strict confidence and in accordance with the 1998 Data Protection Act. Only anonymised summary information will be made available to HESA. The categories are determined by HESA for all Scottish Universities.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for your co-operation and support in the completion of this exercise.
Yours sincerely
Christine Barr
Director of Human Resources
