Three University of Glasgow-Singapore student teams won Gold and Merit Awards in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Safe programme (Security Awareness For Everyone).
Three University of Glasgow-Singapore student teams won Gold and Merit Awards in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Safe programme (Security Awareness For Everyone).
The programme, which was launched in 2009, is a collaborative project between the Ministry of Home Affairs and educational institutions which aims to develop safety and security solutions.
UGS submitted three entries, winning one Gold and two Merit Awards in the University category.
The Gold award was won by Than Wei Sin and Muhammed Azhar Bin Said from Mechanical Design Engineering.
Merit awards were given to two teams of UGS engineering students who designed a robocopter and eye-crime device.
