Language Resource Library
Published: 3 August 2015
The Language Centre Library (LCL) will now be known as the Language Resource Library (LRL). But why?
In line with the change of name from EFL to EAS (English for Academic Study), as noted in a previous Campus e-news, the Language Centre Library (LCL) will now be known as the Language Resource Library (LRL), writes Fionna J Black, Librarian.
This name reflects the variety of resources and facilities available such as a bookable screening room, extensive foreign cinema collection and self-study courses in 50+ languages.
Where else on campus can you find a handbook of colloquial Yiddish, a Still Game DVD and an audiobook of Harry Potter in French?
Graduands and graduates, up to 12 months after graduation, can join the Library at a reduced fee of £20.00. The LRL is free to current staff and students of the University.
