Second Annual Carnegie Lecture

The US financier Paul Tudor Jones II will be awarded an honorary degree for his achievements in business and philanthropy on Tuesday 25 November 2014. He will also deliver the second annual Andrew Carnegie Lecture.
The US financier, Paul Tudor Jones II, will be awarded an honorary degree for his achievements in business and philanthropy on Tuesday 25 November 2014. In addition to receiving an honorary degree, Mr Jones will deliver the second annual Andrew Carnegie Lecture.
In his lecture, The Business of Conservation, Mr Jones will address the role of philanthropy as a strong force in key worldwide issues such as health, poverty alleviation, education and conservation.
His continuing contributions to conservation are highly complementary to on-going research in the University's Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine and the Boyd Orr Centre for Population and Ecosystem Health, which won the Queen's Anniversary prize for Higher and Further Education in 2013.
