UoG-UESTC Joint School hosts IET competition in Chengdu
In early May, the UoG-UESTC Joint School in Chengdu hosted the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s (IET) Present Around the World Competition, a global contest testing the ability and presentation skills of students and young professionals aged 18-26 years in the engineering and technology fields.
Six students from the UoG-UESTC Joint Education Programme participated in the competition, presenting in English on a wide range of areas from invisibility to fingerprint technology. Of these students, Xiaofei Pu came 1st in the Joint School division and 3rd in the overall competition with her presentation entitled “How to Become Invisible”.
Xiaofei has since travelled to Beijing to compete in the next level of the competition, winning 1st place and will represent China in the Asia-wide regional competition in July. Congratulations Xiaofei!
