The Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, Professor Anton Muscatelli, has said the outcome of REF 2014 is "pleasing" with the volume of our 'world-leading' research more than doubling to 31%. It was great, he said, that we had "climbed through the Russell Group" and, in terms of research power, we were second in Scotland. It was a "staging point" on a journey, he said, with more work to be done in the years ahead.
