On Wednesday 6 June, Arthur Ainsberg will give a public lecture entitled ‘90 years of insulin: the role of Scotland’s Prof. John MacLeod in its discovery'
On Wednesday 6 June at 6.00pm, Arthur Ainsberg will give a public lecture in the Seminar Room 1 (Yudowitz), Wolfson Medical School Building, entitled ‘90 years of insulin: the role of Scotland’s Prof. John MacLeod in its discovery’.
The lecture will focus on the role of Professor John Mcleod’s pioneering work on isolating insulin, a discovery that has saved millions of lives worldwide. Professor Mcleod was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on combating diabetes, which was hitherto untreatable.
Arthur Ainsberg is a Wall Street executive, turned writer, and has previously written ‘BREAKTHROUGH: Elizabeth Hughes, the Discovery of Insulin, and the Making of a Medical Miracle’, which was published by St. Martin’s Press in September 2010.
